When downloaded, the Intro Pack includes an exclusive bonus mission that gives you the first taste of the game's multiplayer. The Intro Pack is a free upgrade that will be available for download on the Windows Store on the same day that Halo Infinite launches.

If you already owned Halo: The Master Chief Collection on disc, your previous copy will be linked to your Halo: Infinite account and all purchases will transfer over. If the game is not activated, you will be prompted to purchase it. If the physical disc is found, then the game is activated. This means that when you download the game from the Windows Store, it will check with our servers once to see if there is a physical disc in your drive.

The only exception is if you own an Xbox One X and you have a legit Headset 2 or Standard, but we only support those. If you don't have Headset 2 or Standard, you will not be able to play Halo Infinite. Make sure that you have Headset 2, Standard, 3, Dynamic or Cube on your Xbox One. You can access the game files via the Windows Store, but there's no way to access these files from the console. Note that this is not an Xbox Game Pass title and is not included as part of any Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership.
